GENERAL CONFERENCE:What is your comfort level based on the activities you plan to engage in?
Are you a young creator participating in the YCC60 Challenge (or a YCC mentor)? Dress accordingly, comfortable, maybe dressy options or costume accessories, depending on the role you may be playing in your short film project...
Are you a volunteer? Dress comfortably & appropriately for your role. Logistics or cleaning crew? Be comfortable. Greeter, registration team, or facilitator interacting with leaders? Dress more professionally, like business casual.
Are you a speaker, leader, partner, sponsor? You'll be in front of the audience and potentially recorded, so I would suggest business casual or how you would dress for your film, show, podcast, etc.
Are you pitching? BOOST, Catalyst, Pitch-a-thon… Your appearance makes a statement and it is very difficult to unwind a poor first impression. Dress for the opportunity!
EVERYONE: Keep in mind comfortable shoes! Capernaum campus is big & hilly and you’ll be doing LOTS of walking! :D Also, the interior sets & stages are air conditioned, but the outdoors in Texas in early Fall can be hot & dry! Consider bringing a sweater, wrap, or jacket. Planning to spend time with us outdoors (like Worship Under the Stars in the historic Village)? Consider bringing bug spray (we do our best to manage them, but some of them buggers are tricky!)
You’ll see all forms of attire, however I think your higher level dress commands respect and speaks volumes about your relationship with us and your readiness for next level opportunities.
AWARDS BANQUET FRIDAY NIGHT: It’s just plain fun to have a chance to get dolled & fancied up! :) Not your style? No worries.. dress to your comfort level. Nominated for an award? CONGRATS! If you win, you WILL be on TV (Thanks, CTN!) and YouTube aired around the world to an audience of potentially millions. How do you want to look for that?
You’ll see many people looking glamorous, and others in “church” dress, even a few in denim.
