GEORGE ESCOBAR is currently developing MISSILEMAN with Academy-nominee Terry Rossio as executive producer (Rossio is the co-writer/producer of the PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN franchise, co-writer of ALADDIN, SHREK, DEJA VU, NATIONAL TREASURE among a dozen other box office hits). Escobar is also producing FATHER’S GIFT, a script he co-wrote with emerging writer/director William Willer. Escobar’s screenplay, TRAPPED, (co-written with Ken Carpenter) was a 1st Runner Up for the Kairos Pro Award and a Finalist for the ScreenCraft Family Contest. Escobar co-wrote and co-directed the Oscar nominated ALONE YET NOT ALONE (for Best Original Song) and THE ISAIAH 9:10 JUDGMENT, which was Amazon’s No. 1 faith DVD for over 75 weeks in 2012. He also co-wrote and directed COME WHAT MAY, distributed by Sony/Provident Films. He most recently co-wrote and served as a producer for THE WORLD WE MAKE, distributed by Universal Home Entertainment. He is also a producer for the upcoming FARMER AND THE BELLE, and an associate producer and 1st AD for FIRST LADY (by Nina May). Escobar was a producing fellow at the American Film Institute Conservatory and co-founder of Advent Film Group. Previously he was Vice President of Product Development for Discovery Networks,
Executive Director of AOL/Time Warner. He holds seven U.S. patents for interactive design and technologies and has taught over 3,500 students in filmmaking and screenwriting.

1PM - 2PM: Screenplays are essentially emotional CUP HOLDERS. And great dialogue is what what FILLS THEM UP to overflowing.
“Yeah, I’m talking to you!” The WRITER glances away to avoid the confrontation. “Turn around. Look at me. Straight up,” the VOICE bellows.
“Do it!” After a tense moment, the writer finally relents, locks onto the voice, to stare at the abyss of drama.
